Inverewe Gardens which is only a 10 min walk from the cottages, is world renowned for its flora and fauna.
The village of Poolewe has a
shop / Post
Office, outdoor equipment shop, a hotel, cafe, and village
hall where a market is held weekly during the summer months. Poolewe also houses the district’s indoor swimming pool.
Gairloch, the nearest small town is approx.
six miles south. There you will find many more shops, restaurants and hotels. From the pier, fishing and
whale watching boat trips can be arranged and there is also quite a challenging 9 hole
golf course.
Within a 10 mile radius of the cottages, numerous walks can be found to suit all abilities, from the stroller to those who wish to ‘Munro’.
For a more relaxing approach to your holiday there are also numerous beaches and coves with long stretches of golden sand.
Loch & river fishing can be arranged locally.
The area provides something for everyone ,
all surrounded by magnificent scenery.
